I love the fact that even though I’m in my 20’s he and I can still act like kids. We’ll set off all the loud toys in a store only to get dirty looks from our wives. He and I share the same dry humor and love to use puns daily. I couldn’t ask for a better father. Happy Father’s Day Dad!

i loved that my dad (my step-father) treated us like his own children. i can’t imagine it was easy when he 1st met my mom & here were these 2 little girls too. but the tough, military guy was a big softy! i miss him terribly! he’s been gone for 16 years now. my children will never get to know him & that makes me sad.

I love the fact that when everything seems to be going wrong (3 of my 4 children have Autism) I can always count on my Daddy to cheer me up and make me laugh. He is always there for me, no matter what. He loves my children as they are, despite their disabilities. He is a wonderful man and I am very lucky to have him as a father.

  15. I love that my dad never pressured me into doing anything that I don’t want to, that he lets us decide for ourselves and think about the rights and wrongs of doing things, that he taught us ‘once you’ve started something, make sure you finished it no matter how difficult it is’ and ‘if you want it, you go for it!’.

I miss my dad so much! He’s up there in heaven since 2006 and I would want him to know that I’m trying my best to pass on his parenting methods to my children as well.

What I love about my dad was his teachings and huge heart, he taught me so much in so little time and he made sure to raise a boy/man of good. It’s a shame that my dad passed away when I was 15 (I’m 25), and I couldn’t learn more from him, but now it’s my time to make grow that seed of my father inside of me and be a good father for my son with autism.
